We have just acquired a Zebra GX430t printer for printing spine labels. The printer will successfully print a label but it also prints about 6 blank labels each time. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution to it?

Thank you to everyone for your responses. The problem of printing extra blank labels has now been solved for us. We were able to track down the problem to the template that we are using. It is one that was posted on the IUG site by another user. By testing the software that came with the Zebra GX430t, we found that the Zebra software worked correctly only printing one label at a time. That is what led us to focus on the template. Removing the pagination from the template (thanks to Beth Paul at the Philadelphia Fed) solved the problem and our Zebra printer is now printing one, and only one, label at a time.

What do you have set up for settings in the printer preferences in your computer's control panel? I feel like we have encountered this problem before but am not remembering exactly how we fixed it. I know at various points I have had to reset the printer (https://km.zebra.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SO7130&actp=RSS) and also we've had to manually clean the sensor. We also changed the tracking mode from continuous to "web sensing" at one point.

Thanks for you speedy response, Lori. This does not sound promising. If we figure it out on our end, I will let you know.

Unfortunately, we have had this same problem for quite a long time and have not found a solution. Every time the printer is turned on it spits out 5-6 blank labels. Our printer/IT guru has tried numerous things to no avail. I have even tried opening it and manually rolling them back, but when you close the lid, it resets and spits them out again. If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it.
