Hello - it's that time of year where we're examining roles and responsibilities. Would be interested to find out the following:

1) Who performs your e-resources record loads (position, department, level of oversight)?

2) Do you use the ERM module or Data Exchange?

Again, this is for Sierra users. Thank you

(1) Our catalogue librarian loads the e-resource records from the various vendors. Note: We have just 1 professional (MLIS) cataloger on staff/in my department. I spot-check and track down solutions if she has problems or they aren't loading correctly. Before we hired her, I would load the records and make most of the updates (update material type, add call number, etc.). I'd then have our Technical Services Associate make adjustments (adding 490 if part of series, etc.). Now the catalogue librarian handles it completely. I supposed I could make her job easier by creating a new load table that takes some of elements she currently does either by Rapid Update or Global Update into account, but haven't had the time to do that yet. On my list of things to do at some point.
(2) We use data exchange to load the records.

We are a court law library with less than 20 staff, including 4 part time.

1) Head of Technical Services does the record load.

2) We use Data Exchange to load the records.
