We changed our fund codes this year. (Consolidated them into fewer codes).

Under the Budget area, the current funds tab looks good. However, the changes do not appear to have carried over to the hierarchy levels of the system which means the cumulative reports are not correct. Can anyone tell me what I missed with the changes or what I can try to correct this?

Thank you,
Tammy

Yes, unfortunately, you have to delete the funds from the fund groupings (hierarchies) before you delete the actual fund code. Not sure if you're Sierra or Millennium, but you can see if it's possible to delete the fund from the hierarchy. Otherwise, you can contact III and see if they can clear the hierarchies for you. I'd also make sure that you don't have the deleted fund codes tied to any of the order record templates. In an earlier Sierra release (a few years ago), I was able to just type in the same fund code to recreate it. Then you can follow the correct steps in deleting it. But I don't advise this if you've already done fiscal close.

Unfortunately the Funds and Hierarchies are not linked to make these kinds of automatic changes. You will have to manually adjust the funds in your Hierarchies in the Funds function in Sierra to include the ones you want and delete the ones you don't.
