Hi IUGers!

We are still using Okidata 321 dot matrix printers for monograph and serial printing. They have been true workhorses but they are starting to break down. I found a repair manual online and have been able to fix them so far but it's time consuming and I think they're are just wearing out. The replacement cost for this model is close to an arm and a leg.

My T.S. Librarian is thinking of switching to laser printers for label printing.

So my questions are:

If you use laser printers for label printing what brand/model do you use? What is your workflow for label printing - do you have to batch print labels to avoid running sheets of labels through the printer more than once? Do they handle foil back labels? Any thing else I should know?

Do you use/recommend something besides dot matrix or laser?

If it matters, we are running Millennium rel. 2014.

Thanks so much for the input!!
