Having an issue with inn-reach renewals. We participate in Melcat which is just Michigan libraries sharing books and Mel cat items are supposed to only get 1 renewal. If a patron renews their own item in Encore, then it raises the number of renewals to 1 in the virtual item record and after that you cannot renew again in Encore or Sierra. If however the item is instead renewed inside Sierra then the number of renewals stays at zero. Which means that the item can be renewed indefinitely. As far as I can tell the rules table is correct and this used to work just fine. Not sure when it stopped but we did have a Sierra upgrade this past year.

Has anyone had something like this happen or have a guess where I should be looking. If it didn't work right in both places I would understand. I just don't get everything working correctly in encore but not Sierra. I do have a ticket submitted but thought I would try here too.

Did hear back from the support ticket and yes, looks like it is fixed in 3.1. Currently we are 3.

What version of Sierra are you on? We had the same issue for a while, but I believe it was resolved in 3.1. I'll see if I can track down a ticket number for you.
