We have been working to address some technical issues with the IUG Clearinghouse and outdated software and thanks to the efforts of Mohamed Ragheb, we now have a solution:
There is a new category under the IUG Forum named “Clearing house Repository.” If you are logged into the IUG website, you can submit new files and projects to share with the rest of IUG. You may browse and search – across all forums or filter by the Clearing house.
There are links to this category under the main menu headings of Resources and IUG Forum. Once there, you can narrow down by subcategory for Sierra, Polaris, and Encore.
Just as in the past, submissions will be moderated. When you submit something, a Steering Committee member will review it, add appropriate tags and subcategories, and then approve. Past submissions to the Clearinghouse will be reviewed over the next year and if still relevant moved to the new format so we will end up with one place to search. Until then you may still search and view submissions in the old database just not make new submissions there.
Thank you for your patience during this transition. Moving to the forum format will continue to allow moderated submissions, browsing, and searching; additionally, it will enable you and us to update submissions as needed and provide for increased collaboration within our community.
We will continue to evaluate this setup as we migrate materials and consider enhancements to the forum software to optimize searching and browsing. A shout out to both Phil Shirley and Mohamed for reading my many, many emails and being so helpful in this process.
To access the Clearinghouse in its new format, go to http://innovativeusers.org/index.php/iug-forum/categories/59-clearing-house.html
. You will find a suggested template for what to include when you make a submission.
Old submissions may still be viewed at http://innovativeusers.org/index.php/resources/clearinghouse.html
along with further history and details.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
